Dinan
Dinan is well known for its exceptional rich architectural heritage which evolved as the town prospered, particularly between the 14th to 18th centuries. Dinan flourished in the trading of linen, leather, wool and cereal with cargo departing on ships from its harbour on the River Rance.
A must-see in Brittany, visitors flock to Dinan for its perfectly-preserved medieval village. Escaping much of WWII’s destruction, many of Dinan’s 13th-century buildings are as they were hundreds of years ago. It’s also one of the best places to eat crepes!

Dinan, town, northwestern France, in Côtes-d'Armor département, Brittany région, dominating the upper Rance estuary. It stands on a height above the left bank of the river 14 miles (22 km) south of the coast at Dinard.
