There are officially regulated uniform fares in force in Budapest: the basic fee is 1000 HUF, the per kilometre rate is 400 HUF, and the waiting time charge is 100 HUF per minute. You can pay the taxi fare both in cash and with a bank card but it may happen that some bank cards are not accepted.
