Avoid walking and exercising alone, particularly in isolated areas and on beaches. Avoid carrying large amounts of cash or other valuables including expensive jewellery or watches. Leave your passport in the hotel safe and carry a photocopy for ID at all times. If you're attacked, do not resist.
