31% of girls in Tanzania are married before their 18th birthday and 5% are married before the age of 15. 4% of boys in Tanzania are married before the age of 18. Child marriage rates are as high as59% in Shinyanga, 58% in Tabora, 55% in Mara and 51% in Dodoma. Rates are lowest in Iringa 8% and Dar es Salaam 19%.
