There are 3 ways to become a Belgian citizen on application: Acquiring: you are at least 18 years old. Granting: you are under 18 years old. Naturalisation: an exceptional favour granted to people over 18 years old or to emancipated people who submit a request for naturalisation to the Chamber of Representatives.
