With 12 166 divorces, the divorce rate in Finland in 2021 stood at 12.3 for women and 12.2 for men. This was the lowest divorce rate in Finland since the early 1990s. Of the about 12 000 divorces, 85 were same-sex divorces. An additional 53 couples finished their registered partnership.
