I want a penpal but a SAFE one ?
I want a penpal. like little kids get in school! but I want like a child one. one of those websites where its safe and everything. oh and if possible is there teenage penpals? I would love to talk to someone around my age and learn how different it is!(:

Secure Internet Live Conferencing (SILC) or Skype are examples of the service to use. Unless yu can meet the person face-to-face over video conferencing, you have no clue whether the person is safe or a predator.
That is a very good question to ask. After a couple of video conferences, you can be just a penpal, but do NOT trust any sites that say they are for a certain age because they have no way of verifying it.
As to what it is like, the whole world drinks coffee or tea, but few would recognize a samovar or the spices and teas that make chai. KBAC is unknown, and bread is about as tasty as styrofoam (so my Ukrainian friend tells me). Other than that, people are people once you get past the noise someone has filled their heads with for political purposes. You should find some delightful differences in culture to share.

Ahh, I used to have one in school… it didn’t last for long though lol.
